About me

When you have sessions with me, you share your experiences with me and I may get to know you so I imagine you also might want to know more about me too. This happens in a real relationship and psychotherapy, though professional and confidential, is a real relationship. Information about my career experiences is given below so these are just some of my thoughts. The values and beliefs inherent in the Gestalt Approach have formed and informed me in many ways. I do my best to live these with positivity, hope, joy and loving kindness.

About me

Whatever people are doing and how they are managing themselves, I believe they are doing their best in the circumstances. They might do things differently if they knew better.
My job is to help people access their strengths and support them to be the best they can be in their life-situations. While learning, everyone has their own pace and life is not a race or a competition against our own selves or others. It is a journey…it takes time, learning and practice towards right action and fulfilment.
Whereas some difficulties may be overcome, other adversities may be borne with dignity. Both overcoming and bearing involve change, one in behaviour and the other, in attitude. They require a decision, an internal movement of letting go and transformation. This process will take the time it needs.
When the life- journey gets tough and difficult emotions surface or you feel blocked in your endeavours, unable to find your way, family and friends may encourage and support you.
It is often found useful to share your experience with someone who is not socially involved with you and whose only purpose for meeting is your wellbeing.
It is my privilege to be there for you and to share with you my knowledge and skills to help you build your resilience as you explore old ways as well as uncharted territory and go forward with increased joy and vitality.
My role is to facilitate your own wholistic healing process.
All areas of your being:
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
are acknowledged, enhanced and re-energised during the therapeutic process.
